Job description

The Utilization Review Coordinator provides a broad range of clerical and technical support for Utilization Management and Home Safety Modifications.

Performance Responsibilities and Standards

  • Provides a wide range of administrative support-related tasks.
  • Review and tracking of Notice of Action letters.
  • Printing and mailing of member letters.
  • Send prior service authorization acknowledgment letters
  • Manage calendar for grievance, concurrent, and prior service authorization decision letters.
  • Track Home Safety Modification Requests.
  • Follow-up with vendors, landlords, etc. as needed.
  • Responsible for assisting with reporting requirements for Utilization Review.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills, exercising good judgment in a variety of situations.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and common-sense resolution.
  • Meet routine deadlines and work schedules with accurate completion of work.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of one year customer service experience required, preferably in a health care setting.
  3. Proficiency with computer systems, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the internet, and various software applications.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
  5. Demonstrates discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  6. Accuracy, attention to detail, and follow through.
  7. Exceptional customer service skills.
  8. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Physical Requirements:

  • Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
  • Pushing, pulling, reaching and kneeling frequently.
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 40lbs.
  • Extended periods of computer use
