DSB Rock Island is seeking a Senior Audit Associate to join our Assurance team. In this role, you'll lead key areas of audit, review, and compilation engagements while mentoring staff, serving as a primary client contact, and partnering with managers to deliver high-quality service. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who enjoys developing others, strengthening client relationships, and continuing to grow their technical expertise in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll take ownership of engagement responsibilities while helping ensure high-quality client service and supporting the development of less experienced team members.

  • Lead fieldwork for audit, review, and compilation engagements for privately held businesses and organizations
  • Perform risk assessments and assist in developing and executing audit and review plans
  • Complete advanced and complex audit testing procedures and prepare high-quality workpapers with minimal supervision
  • Draft reviewed and compiled financial statements, including disclosures
  • Review work prepared by Audit Associates, provide timely feedback, and assist with coaching and training
  • Research technical accounting and auditing issues and discuss recommendations with managers and partners
  • Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and timelines while communicating potential scope changes or challenges
  • Serve as a primary client contact by responding promptly, gathering information, and building trusted relationships
  • Identify opportunities to improve firm processes, templates, and client service
  • Utilize firm technology, including CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx Engagement, Excel, and other audit software to deliver efficient, high-quality engagements

Salary Range: $75,000 $90,000 (depending on education, experience, and CPA progress)
