Position: Revenue Cycle Specialist (Billing Specialist) - Oral Health

Location: South Jordan

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm


Revenue Cycle Specialist

Job Summary:

As a Revenue Cycle Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely collection of payments for all outstanding accounts receivable. Your attention to detail and dedication to providing excellent customer service will contribute to the financial health of our practice and enable us to continue serving our community effectively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of important tasks, including:

  • Manage and process patient payment contracts and arrangements
  • Submitting insurance claims
  • Running aging reports and conducting research to collect, appeal, or re-bill as needed
  • Initiating written appeals for contract discrepancies and underpayments
  • Collaborate with payers through phone and online interactions to resolve account issues and secure timely payments
  • Providing exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
  • Documenting collection activity accurately and thoroughly, ensuring timely follow-up
  • Analyzing accounts for possible collection agency referral, if required
  • Adapting to changing department needs and taking on additional duties as necessary

Education and Experience:

To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Minimum two years' experience in oral health billing
  • Denticon experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required

Hybrid Opportunity:

This is an in-office position. After a successful 6-to-12-month training period, employees may be eligible to transition to a hybrid schedule, working 2 days from home and 3 days in office each week.
