Job description

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately receives and verifies incoming store returns/batteries/cores for proper receipt.

Essential Functions:

  • Accurately scans or verifies receipt of product

  • Verifies paperwork and documents proper overages and shorts for incoming product

  • Verifies quality of incoming product (new part vs. used part)

Knowledge, Skills, Duties and Abilities:

  • Able to perform tasks accurately

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Able to stay organized and on task

  • Able to work independently and be self-motivated

  • Able to use scanners in conjunction with the inventory system

  • Check and restock merchandise & inventory, inspect for damage, and verify counts

  • Meet and maintain accuracy and production goals

  • Responsible for entering overages and shortages into the computer system in a timely and efficient manner, usually within 24 hrs of putaway completion on the floor

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and workforce both individually and as part of a team

  • Perform other duties and/or work in other departments of work location as assigned

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

  • Successfully complete a pre-employment drug test

  • Wear appropriate footwear protection and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed by Company policy

  • Acknowledgement of and adherence to all Company policies and procedures as contained within the Fisher Auto Parts Employee and Driver's Handbooks

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted

  • Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, reach, lift, carry, bend, kneel, squat, and stoop

  • Also required to climb, push/pull, balance, crouch or crawl, talk, speak, and hear

  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

  • May be occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and/or vehicles, high/precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, various degrees of cold and heat, risk of electrical shock, items of bulky or varying weight, risk of explosion, and/or vibration.
