Job description

Effective July 1, 2025, in accordance with the applicable Memorandum of Understanding, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 requires each full-time employee in Bargaining Unit 17 , and related Excluded, Exempt and Statutory Exempt employees, will have their base salary reduced by 3 percent and will receive 5 PLP 2025 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Salaries do not reflect the recent changes.
This recruitment may be used to fill positions in an inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
Under the supervision of a Supervising Registered Nurse II/III, Correctional Facility (CF) and the direction of the Shift Lead Registered Nurse (RN), CF, the Correctional Treatment Center (CTC) RN, CF organizes and provides necessary nursing care in accordance with health care policies and procedures, program requirements, and regulations. The CTC RN, CF in collaboration with the CTC care team ensures the delivery of appropriate and timely health care to patients in the inpatient setting. In collaboration with the Primary Care Team (PCT), coordinates interdisciplinary communication to promote continuity of care. The CTC RN, CF is responsible for addressing the ongoing health care needs of patients and for promoting the timely, efficient, and appropriate use of health care resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a current license as Registered Nurse in California. (Applicants who do not meet this requirement will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure the required license before they will be considered eligible for appointment.)

Candidates new to CCHCS are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting.
Tuberculosis (TB) testing is required for candidates new to CCHCS prior to appointment followed by department annual TB testing/evaluation thereafter.
