Job Summary

The Retail Store Associate supports day-to-day store operations by providing friendly, helpful service to customers and donors while maintaining an organized, well-stocked, and inviting sales floor. This role assists with merchandise handling, restocking, and basic store upkeep, follows company policies and safety standards, and works collaboratively with the team to create a positive shopping experience and support overall store performance.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide friendly, attentive assistance to create a positive shopping experience.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by responding to questions and addressing customer needs promptly and professionally.
  • Accurately operate the cash register and process transactions in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and checkout area.
  • Restock merchandise and ensure products are neatly displayed, properly priced, and well presented.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs or concerns to management.
  • Assist with sorting, tagging, and placing donated merchandise onto the sales floor as needed.
  • Follow all store policies, safety guidelines, and loss prevention procedures.
  • Provide flexible support to team members during peak periods and high-volume times.
  • Answer customer questions regarding products, store policies, and promotions. Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall store operations.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior retail experience preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse and retail environment.
