These associates also help maintain inventory records and may assist with organizing backroom spaces. Their work is essential for keeping store shelves stocked and ensuring customers find the products they need.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a retail receiving associate?

To thrive as a Retail Receiving Associate, you need strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic math abilities, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and warehouse equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts is typically required. Their work ensures that every customer returns to a store that feels full, fresh, and ready to shop.
  • We believe service starts with each other - supporting one another with honesty, care, and collaboration so we can better serve our customers and communities.
  • And we know that excellence is a journey - we strive to improve every day, take pride in our work, achieve sales goals and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results.

Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled to work 10-20 hours per week. Hours are dependent on business needs and colleague availability. Information regarding hours per week needed for benefit eligibility purposes can be found here.
