Job description

Viridian Staffing's (www.viridianstaffing.com) Client is looking for a highly experienced General Manager for a Cannabis Retail Store in Queens, New York.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the Original staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis / hemp industry.

As the General Manager of a cannabis dispensary, you will be responsible for leading a large-format retail cannabis store in Queens. This opportunity is ideal for a proven cannabis retail operator who has successfully managed high-volume retail environments, larger teams, and fast-paced store operations. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing labor, building and training the team, sourcing products, managing vendors, overseeing inventory, ensuring compliance, and creating operational processes for a new retail location.

This role requires a strong, hands-on operator who can manage a busy retail environment with significant customer traffic and extended operating hours. You should be comfortable creating structure in a cannabis retail store, establishing SOPs, organizing product flow, managing delivery and pickup processes, and ensuring the store is properly staffed and stocked to support strong sales growth. The right person will know how to balance speed, customer experience, team leadership, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.

You bring with you at least 5+ years of retail management experience, including cannabis retail management experience. Prior experience managing 20-30+ employees, working in high-volume retail, buying cannabis products, building vendor relationships, managing Flowhub or a similar cannabis POS system, and overseeing cash controls, audits, inventory, and compliance is strongly preferred. Experience in cannabis retail is required. Experience with store opening(s) is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is a strong retail leader who understands how to build teams, manage performance, control inventory, source the right products, and grow a newer store into a successful operation. Flexibility with schedule and operating hours will be important for this location.

If you are a results-driven cannabis retail leader with the ability to lead a high-traffic store, manage a larger team, and take ownership of a new retail operation, we look forward to receiving your resume.

Pay Range: $85,000-$115,000
