Role Overview

At Paradies Lagardère, the leading airport retail operator in North America, the Sales Associate role is a frontline customer service position responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, and maintaining a clean, organized, and high-performing retail environment across our Travel Essentials Shops at DFW Airport.

In this fast-paced airport environment, Sales Associates are expected to engage travelers quickly and meaningfully, provide knowledgeable product recommendations, and ensure every interaction reflects professionalism, urgency, and genuine hospitality. This role is essential in creating a seamless shopping experience for millions of travelers passing through one of the busiest airports in the world.

Sales Associates apply strong customer engagement, product knowledge, and operational discipline to support store performance while maintaining consistency in service, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-volume environments, enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, and are motivated by sales, teamwork, and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Hospitality
Provide first-class service to all internal and external customers in a high-traffic airport setting
Greet, assist, and thank every customer to ensure a positive and welcoming shopping experience
Anticipate customer needs and offer helpful recommendations based on store offerings
Maintain a friendly, professional, and energetic presence throughout every shift
Ensure each guest interaction reflects strong hospitality and service standards

Sales & Product Engagement
Drive sales through proactive customer engagement and effective communication
Maintain strong knowledge of current promotions, products, and store highlights
Assist customers in selecting travel essentials and impulse purchase items
Support store sales goals through consistent selling behavior and customer interaction
Deliver a fast, efficient checkout experience while maintaining accuracy

Store Operations & Execution
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked sales floor at all times
Assist with inventory control, replenishment, and product rotation
Support merchandising standards and ensure proper product presentation
Perform general store maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment
Follow all operational procedures to support smooth daily store function

Teamwork & Performance Standards
Work collaboratively with team members and leadership to support store goals
Communicate effectively during shift changes and peak travel periods
Support a positive team environment focused on respect, reliability, and accountability
Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and airport regulations
Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume airport environment
Customer-first mindset with a strong focus on service and sales
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds
Comfortable working with basic POS systems and technology
Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must pass Federal Criminal History Record Check and company background screening
