What You'll Do
Team Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and mentor our Repair Technicians.
  • Conduct ride-alongs, field coaching, and hands-on training.
  • Hold technicians accountable to company standards.
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new technicians.
Quality Control
  • Ensure repairs meet Surface Experts quality standards.
  • Perform routine quality inspections and jobsite visits.
  • Monitor callbacks and identify coaching opportunities.
  • Work alongside technicians to solve difficult repairs when needed.
  • Drive a culture of doing the repair right the first time.
Daily Operations
  • Conduct daily technician huddles and weekly team meetings.
  • Review technician schedules and production goals.
  • Monitor productivity, efficiency, and job completion.
  • Assist with dispatch adjustments when needed.
  • Verify work orders are complete and ready for invoicing.
Inventory & Equipment
  • Manage technician inventory levels.
  • Maintain repair equipment and tools.
  • Perform vehicle inspections.
  • Ensure technicians maintain clean, organized company vehicles.
Customer Experience
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally.
  • Build relationships with property managers, builders, and commercial customers.
  • Ensure every customer receives exceptional communication and service.
Continuous Improvement
  • Help improve systems, processes, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor KPIs and technician performance.
  • Recommend operational improvements that increase efficiency and profitability.
What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years minimum leadership or supervisory experience

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Experience in construction, facilities maintenance, restoration, painting, automotive repair, cabinetry, flooring, or another skilled trade is preferred but not required.
