Job description

District Manager – Wireless Retail Operations
Location: Greater Seattle Area
Reports To: CEO

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, results-oriented Area Manager to lead multiple wireless retail locations and drive operational excellence across the market. This role is designed for a proven multi-unit leader who thrives on building high-performing teams, elevating sales results, strengthening operational standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

As Area Manager, you will serve as the primary operational bridge between store teams and executive leadership. You will balance strategic oversight with disciplined day-to-day execution, and you will be equally comfortable leading from the front when stores need direct support.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance

  • Direct the daily operations of multiple retail locations to ensure consistent achievement of sales, service, and operational targets.
  • Analyze sales metrics, performance trends, and operational data to identify growth opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor operational procedures, policies, and best practices that promote efficiency and consistency.
  • Conduct regular store visits and operational audits to uphold compliance, quality standards, and brand excellence.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and their teams to high levels of performance and accountability.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and retain strong retail talent across the market.
  • Oversee employee scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and operational readiness.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching that supports individual growth and team success.
  • Cultivate a positive, accountable, and customer-focused culture in every location.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure every store consistently delivers an outstanding customer experience.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues promptly and implement lasting solutions.
  • Champion a culture of genuine engagement, relationship-building, and service excellence.

Staffing & Talent Management

  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels across all locations.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and hiring strategies.
  • Oversee effective onboarding and training programs for new team members.
  • Identify and develop high-potential individuals for future leadership roles.

Communication & Reporting

  • Provide clear, timely operational updates and performance reports to the CEO.
  • Track and communicate key performance indicators related to sales, customer satisfaction, staffing, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Ensure consistent, transparent communication between retail locations and company leadership.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of multi-unit retail management experience preferred.
  • Experience in wireless retail, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or related high-ticket retail environments strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, driving sales performance, and improving operational results.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously.
