Job description

B2B Sales Representative

Desert Tech - West Valley City, Utah
Full-Time | Estimated Total Compensation: $60,000-$85,000

Build Relationships. Grow Dealers. Represent Products You Believe In.

Desert Tech is seeking a motivated B2B Sales Representative to develop dealer relationships, grow existing accounts and expand our presence in the commercial firearms market.

The ideal candidate combines strong communication and relationship-building skills with a genuine passion for firearms. You do not need to arrive as a polished sales expert-we can teach our sales process, CRM and dealer programs-but you should bring firearms familiarity, personal initiative and a willingness to be coached.

This is not a retail counter-sales position. You will work directly with firearms dealers and commercial partners to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and help them successfully sell Desert Tech products.

Compensation

$45,000-$55,000 annual base salary, depending on experience, plus uncapped commission.

At target performance, annual commission is expected to range from $15,000 to $30,000, bringing estimated total annual compensation to $60,000-$85,000.

Representatives who exceed their sales goals may earn beyond the stated range.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with firearms dealers and commercial accounts
  • Grow sales within existing accounts through consistent communication, product education and opportunity development
  • Prospect for, qualify and open new dealer accounts
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, presentations and sales follow-up
  • Understand each dealer's needs and recommend appropriate products and programs
  • Communicate Desert Tech's product advantages and business value
  • Prepare quotes, manage opportunities and close orders
  • Reactivate inactive and underperforming accounts
  • Introduce new products, promotions and dealer programs
  • Maintain accurate account, opportunity and activity records in the CRM
  • Manage an organized pipeline and provide reliable sales forecasts
  • Achieve assigned revenue, gross-profit and activity goals
  • Represent Desert Tech at trade shows, dealer events and industry functions
  • Communicate relevant dealer, customer and competitive feedback to management

What We're Looking For

  • Genuine interest and competency in firearms and the shooting sports
  • Practical familiarity with firearm platforms, calibers, applications and safe handling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trust and develop long-term business relationships
  • Confidence speaking with dealers, conducting outbound outreach and asking for the sale
  • Initiative, accountability and consistent follow-through
  • Strong organization and time-management habits
  • Ability to learn technical product information and communicate it clearly
  • Willingness to learn and consistently apply a structured sales process
  • Comfort using a CRM to manage accounts, activities and opportunities
  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous B2B sales, account-management or business-development experience
  • Experience in the firearms, outdoor sporting goods, manufacturing or durable-goods industries
  • Experience opening new accounts and growing an established territory
  • Understanding of dealer margins, inventory turns and account profitability
  • Knowledge of Desert Tech products and the premium firearms market

We recognize that the best candidate may not check every box. Strong firearms competency, communication ability, character and coachability may be considered alongside formal sales experience.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Desert Tech B2B Sales Representative:

  • Builds trust with dealers through knowledge, responsiveness and follow-through
  • Develops qualified new accounts and grows existing relationships
  • Communicates Desert Tech's value accurately and confidently
  • Maintains a consistent prospecting and follow-up rhythm
  • Keeps an accurate and actionable sales pipeline
  • Achieves sales and gross-profit objectives
  • Represents the Desert Tech brand professionally and responsibly
