As an Assistant Manager, you are a key leader on the dispensary floor. You'll support store leadership in driving daily operations, developing staff, managing cash and inventory, and ensuring a compliant, customer-first environment. Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Compliance

O

versee daily store operations and ensure adherence to all SOPs and company policies

M

anage shift coverage, staffing adjustments, and timesheet accuracy

E

nsure full compliance with all state cannabis regulations and internal procedures

S

upport change management implementations and ensure SOP updates are communicated and trained to all staff

Cash Management

O

pen and close petty cash banks

F

acilitate cash vault services, pickups, and dropoffs

R

econcile EOD cash reports and manage POS/card/cash accuracy

Inventory Management

R

eceive deliveries and process vendor returns

R

estock products and maintain accurate inventory levels

C

onduct audits, adjustments, and oversee inventory destruction

Team Leadership & Development

S

upervise, mentor, and develop a team of retail employees

F

acilitate new hire training and ongoing sales and leadership coaching

C

omplete incident reports and maintain thorough documentation for performance management

M

ake recommendations for promotions and terminations

E

nsure team compliance with attendance policies

Customer Experience

S

et the standard for excellent, compliant customer service on the floor

H

andle escalated customer issues with professionalism and efficiency

C

oach budtenders in real time on product knowledge, service standards, and compliance

M

anage customer queue and support floor operations during peak hours

Visual Merchandising & Marketing

M

anage in-store digital menus, displays, and kiosk menus

M

aintain print signage and banners

I

mplement sales and promotional content and gather customer feedback on campaigns

Reporting

C

omplete EOD, cash bank, and labor cost reporting

T

rack transaction value and customer complaints

R

eport employee relations issues, progressive discipline actions, and HR matters to leadership

Qualifications:

M

ust be at least 21 years of age

H

igh school diploma or equivalent required

2

+ years of retail, hospitality, or customer service experience required; supervisory experience preferred

C

annabis industry experience a plus - not required

S

trong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills

C

omfortable working in a highly regulated, compliance-driven environment

P

roficiency with POS systems and inventory software; cannabis seed-to-sale experience a plus

A

bility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

M

ust be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 8 hours per shift

M

ust meet all state requirements for employment in a licensed cannabis facility

Compensation & Benefits:

$

20.00/hr. | Full-time, 40 hours per week
