Job description

This is an exciting role working with third-party logistics providers in the Northern California and Nevada markets for Starbucks. The Partner will need to live within a reasonable distance near the Distribution Center's in the Sacramento, Stockton, Fresno, Reno, or Las Vegas region.

As a Regional Distribution Manager, Northern California/Nevada (Sacramento-Stockton-Fresno-Reno-Las Vegas CDC market areas), you will... The Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the distribution centers within their assigned region. This includes overseeing metrics, handling escalations, and leading and developing continuous improvement ideas

The RDM will also assist with annual financial planning and work with cross-functional teams on projects, best practices, and operational opportunities. The RDM is expected to inspire and influence others to achieve results and hold the distribution centers accountable for performance standards as per Starbucks SOPs. They will also serve as the Starbucks point of contact for 3PL providers for service and cost accountability.

The RDM is also expected to manage the local FoodShare program with its process and operations with local donation sites and 3PLs. Manage the day-to-day operations of the distribution centers within the assigned region Oversee metrics and handle escalations Lead and develop continuous improvement ideas Assist with annual financial planning for the distribution centers Work with cross-functional teams on projects, best practices, and operational opportunities Inspire and influence others to achieve results Hold the distribution centers accountable for performance standards as per Starbucks SOPs Serve as the Starbucks point of contact for 3PL providers for service and cost accountability Liaise with retail ops, distribution field service, and daily relationships with 3PL providers Standardize and ensure compliance with Starbucks policies and procedure Adheres to established distribution processes to maintain inventory integrity Establishes and implements quality and cost improvement initiatives that are supported and sustained by all distribution partners. Contributes to the development of effective cost-saving initiatives.

We'd love to hear from people with: 10+ of experience in retail distribution center management Logistics Service Provider Experience Strong leadership and management skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams and build relationships with external partners Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle escalations Ability to travel nationwide as needed up to 75% As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. This list is subject to change depending on collective bargaining in locations where partners have a certified bargaining representative. For additional information regarding partner perks and more detailed information about benefits, go to starbucksbenefits.com. *If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above

For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
