Job Description
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTION: Reports to the Perkinston Bookstore Manager. Serve as Manager in absence of the Bookstore Manager and with day-to-day operations.
Job Duties
• Perform cashiering duties that include processing customer sales, reconciling cash drawer at end of shift, preparing bank deposits and reconciling credit card sales.
• Assist students by issuing textbooks and finding required materials.
• Responsible for assisting in the ordering and receiving books, resale merchandise, instructional materials and bookstore supplies.
• Merchandise maintenance in WINPRISM.
• Maintain payroll records for bookstore personnel.
• Prepare bookstore correspondence and notices.
• Annual bookstore inventory.
• Completing physical transfers between campuses.
• Department billings reconciliation of payment.
• P-Card reconciliation.
• Issuing Banner Po's.
• Receiving on Banner PO.
• Shipping of order (online and physical transfer between campuses).
• Physical receiving of merchandise and books.
• Time cards -student workers, full time and Part time.
• Back up Manager as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Bookstore Manager.
Mandatory Qualifications
M(1) Associate Degree in Business or related area.
M(2) Minimum of 3 years' experience in business related area including purchasing, inventory, and budgeting experience.
M(3) Experience in the retail industry with working knowledge of a point of sale system, both back office and cash register operations.
M(4) Proficient in the use of personal computers.
M(5) Excellent .customer service and communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications
D(1) Experience with SCT Banner.
D(2) Experience with Win prism POS systems.
D(3) Experience with textbook ordering and management
D(4) Experience dealing with the public.
D(5) Experience in an educational environment.
