The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation is a Tribal health care organization, serving nearly 30,000 people living across rural, southwest Alaska in villages with populations from about 10 to more than 1,000. Bethel, the regional hub and location of the only hospital in the region, has a population of nearly 7,000. The Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta is home to thousands of lakes and two primary rivers-the Kuskokwim and Yukon.

Position Summary:
Employee will operate CHSB Retail Store including YKHC Gift/Coffee Shop and Injury Prevention Sales Shop. Activities include: opening and closing retail store each day, preparing and serving food and beverages, assisting customers with purchasing decisions, demonstrates correct use of merchandise, accurately handling cash, conducting inventory, maintaining a clean and orderly environment, building customer relations, communicating with the ICEMS Retail Store Manager and other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • Some High School or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in food service or retail operations.
  • Valid Alaska Driver's License, or able to acquire one within one year.
  • An understanding of coffee shop equipment, credit card merchant machine, cash register and calculator.
  • Must posses strong math, communication and customer skills.
