Federal Benefits Specialist – State Agency – $19-21/hr W2 – Phoenix – Closes Thursday

SunSoftOnline is hiring a Federal Benefits Specialist for an Arizona state agency's Financial & Administration division, two positions.

Hard requirements, read before applying:

  • Currently living in the Phoenix metro area (Avondale, Glendale, Mesa, Tempe, etc. all count), city on your resume, no relocation candidates
  • Authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future, W2 only
  • High school diploma; experienced non-manager level

The work: monitoring and actively managing a caseload of dependent youth in state care who receive federal Social Security, Veterans, or Railroad Retirement benefits, ensuring compliance with Arizona statute (A.R.S. 8-468) and federal benefit program rules. The department manages ~900 active federal-benefit cases; individual caseloads can reach ~300. Core skills: document management, attention to detail, teamwork. Preferred: caseload management experience and health & human services background.
