About The Role

In FTI Consulting's Corporate Finance & Restructuring organization, we focus on our clients' strategic, operational, financial and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional challenges faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies and other stakeholders.

Within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions for companies looking to optimize their finance function and help maximize its performance to position them for success to meet today's increasing challenges.

What You'll Do

The Finance Transformation Senior Director will lead teams on the ground to reduce complexity and cost within the Finance function, improve service levels and enhance process efficiency to strengthen reporting capabilities and increase data driven insights. This role will be heavily client-facing and the candidate will be expected to function as a team or workstream leader on finance transformation projects.

  • Lead Finance Transformation projects in areas such as the following: Finance function assessment, operating model design, service delivery model and design (shared service center, outsourcing, global business service), cost reduction, process optimization/ automation, and financial/management reporting rationalization

  • Manage client relationships on a day-to-day basis including ownership of deliverables, communications and management of the FTI team

  • Provide independent perspective, based on market trends and conditions, with respect to finance and accounting organizations, challenges and best practices

  • Perform high quality client work and take the lead in presenting client deliverables, including taking a proactive approach and anticipating client needs

  • Identify opportunities for additional value creation for Finance and the enterprise (i.e. IT, HR, Operations)

  • Support FTI's senior leadership in developing tools, methodologies, playbooks, etc, to continue to build and grow the practice and firm

  • Proactively identify business development opportunities and participate in client pursuits

  • Take a leadership role in helping coach, train, and mentor junior staff

What You Will Need to Succeed

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant post-graduate experience

  • Experience in project management and leading workstreams; execution of finance transformation, FP&A, and/or business process design/improvement initiatives

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Demonstrable expertise in process improvement and operating/service delivery model design

  • Deep knowledge in finance and accounting best practices, processes, systems and governance

  • Excellent teamwork, client-facing and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) certifications, or an MBA

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other related field

  • Experience in management consulting

  • Ability to take ownership of project leadership, training, and staff development

  • Ability to handle multiple client stakeholders and multiple external teams with confidence

  • Aptitude for trouble-shooting and problem-solving, with demonstrated ability to exercise mature judgment and present solution paths to facilitate consensus

  • Capability to sell work to new clients and further develop existing client relationships

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS excel, etc.)

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $154,500
Maximum Pay: $302,000
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
