Job description

  • Lead assigned cleaning and restoration jobs in the field and help coordinate the work of supporting technicians.
  • Perform carpet, floor, upholstery, tile and grout, air duct, odor-removal, and other specialty cleaning services using company-approved procedures, equipment, and products.
  • Perform or support water, storm, mold-related, and other restoration services based on training, experience, certification, and job assignment.
  • Review the scope of work and help determine the equipment, materials, tools, and labor needed to complete each assignment efficiently.
  • Set the pace and example for safe work practices, professional conduct, job-site organization, and adherence to company standards.
  • Provide direction and practical coaching to junior or developing technicians on equipment use, cleaning techniques, customer interaction, documentation, and job-site procedures.
  • Conduct job-site quality-control checks and inspect completed work before the team leaves the property.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding the planned work, progress, service expectations, and completion of the assignment.
  • Conduct or assist with customer walkthroughs and address service-related questions or concerns within the technician's scope of responsibility.
  • Ensure required work orders, customer authorizations, photographs, daily logs, job notes, and other assigned documentation are complete, accurate, and timely.
  • Operate, clean, inspect, and perform basic maintenance on cleaning and restoration equipment.
  • Help keep company vehicles clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service; perform or report basic vehicle-maintenance needs.
  • Monitor tools, chemicals, materials, and consumable supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Protect customer property and maintain an orderly, professional work area throughout the job.
  • Learn and appropriately use new equipment, technology, products, and cleaning/restoration techniques.
  • Hold yourself accountable for company expectations and help reinforce quality, safety, and service standards with the field team.
  • Escalate unusual job conditions, customer concerns, safety issues, scope changes, or equipment problems to management when appropriate.
  • Perform other cleaning, restoration, operational, and customer-service duties reasonably associated with the position.
