Join our dynamic team as a Water Mitigation Technician and become a vital part of restoring properties affected by water damage, flooding, and other related disasters. In this energetic role, you'll be on the front lines of disaster response, utilizing your skills to assess damage, execute mitigation strategies, and ensure a safe, clean environment for our clients. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help turn challenging situations into successful restorations, making a real difference in people's lives. This position offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire restoration, and more within the thriving restoration industry.

  • Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to water damage and flooding incidents, assessing the extent of damage and determining necessary mitigation procedures

  • Operate hand tools and power tools to extract water, remove damaged materials, and prepare sites for restoration

  • Perform cleaning tasks including mold remediation, and debris removal to restore properties to their pre-loss condition

  • Assist with fire restoration efforts by cleaning soot and smoke damage, and performing asbestos abatement when required

  • Utilize construction skills to install drying equipment, set up containment areas, and perform minor repairs as needed

  • Follow safety protocols diligently while handling sensitive materials such as mold or asbestos to ensure compliance with industry standards

  • Document all mitigation activities thoroughly for reporting purposes and coordinate with team members to ensure efficient workflow

Experience

  • Prior experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred; familiarity with water damage restoration, fire cleanup, or mold remediation is a plus

  • Hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools in construction or maintenance settings

  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to carpet cleaning and general property sanitation

  • Understanding of asbestos abatement procedures and safety practices is advantageous
