Restoration Technicians
Department: Restoration
Employment Type: Temporary
Location: Atlanta, GA
Reporting To: Preston Matthews
Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 / hour
Description
The Restoration Technician performs hands-on restoration and general labor activities to support the safe and efficient completion of restoration projects. This position is responsible for tasks such as debris removal, site cleanup, material handling, demolition, and assisting with water, fire, mold, and other remediation activities as assigned. The Restoration Technician works under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and receives on-the-job training, guidance, and mentorship to develop restoration skills and ensure work is completed safely and according to company procedures. This role works closely with other restoration team members and may perform work in commercial and industrial environments.
What you'll be Doing
  • Perform general labor activities in support of restoration and remediation projects
  • Remove debris, damaged materials, contents, and other materials from job sites as directed.
  • Assist with demolition activities, including removal of drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, and other damaged building materials as directed and trained.
  • Assist with water extraction, drying, cleaning, and other restoration activities under the direction of the Operations Supervisor or designated project lead.
  • Assist with mold remediation activities, including containment preparation, removal of affected materials, cleaning, and disposal, in accordance with training, applicable procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Load, unload, move, stage, and organize equipment, tools, supplies, and materials at job sites and company facilities.
  • Set up, operate, clean, and properly store restoration equipment and tools after receiving appropriate training.
  • Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and promptly report unsafe conditions, property damage, equipment issues, or other job-site concerns to the Operations Supervisor or designated project lead.
  • Follow instructions from supervisors and project leads regarding work assignments, priorities, and job-site requirements.
  • Protect customer property and company equipment while performing assigned duties.
  • Maintain assigned tools, equipment, vehicles, and PPE in clean and serviceable condition.
  • Travel to assigned job sites and work varying schedules based on project and customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support restoration operations.

What You Bring to the Table
  • Previous experience in restoration, remediation, construction, demolition, general labor, maintenance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Entry-level candidates with a willingness to learn and perform physically demanding work will be considered.
  • Experience working in active construction, restoration, or other job-site environments is preferred.
