    The Reconstruction Manager will be responsible for successfully running multiple jobs through the reconstruction phase in accordance with the design and project schedules. The manager will also be responsible for maintaining constant contact with customers, estimators, contractors, and administrative staff. The manager will ensure that the work done meets the expected quality and adheres to the agreed-upon contract and scope. The manager will handle all phases of the project. 

    Reconstruction Manager Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans, including budget, schedule, and quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, architects, engineers, and contractors to develop project requirements, scope, and goals.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress, quality, and safety.
  • Identify and manage project risks, including changes to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Manage project budgets by tracking expenses, forecasting costs, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and, at a minimum, provide and log weekly updates to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Communicate with subcontractors to ensure that all parties are informed of the project status and any changes to the project plan.
  • Ensure that all project activities are conducted per company policies and procedures.
  • Manage project close-out activities, including final inspections, punch lists, and warranty work.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with the accounting and administrative teams.
  • Work with the Estimator to ensure scope items are not overlooked.
  • Responsible for tracking costs and creating change orders for added work from customer needs/wants.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Reconstruction Manager Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a construction-related field required
  • Construction management experience, preferably in the residential restoration industry, knowledge of insurance claim procedures, standards, and guidelines
  • Exceptional skills in communication, organization, teamwork, accuracy, attention to detail, time management, conflict resolution, and cost management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain budgets in a timely fashion
  • Ability to manage project plans and construction activity.
  • Knowledge of materials, budgeting, and margins
  • Ability to utilize the latest server and cloud-based computer technology, including Xactimate estimating software, Microsoft Office, Proven Jobs, etc.
  • Ability to manage their teams and Subcontractors
  • Desire to consistently strive to implement and maintain a strong understanding of construction operations and procedures
