Job description

Soria Contracting and Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable, motivated Water Damage Restoration Technician to join our restoration team. This position is responsible for responding to residential and commercial water-loss projects and assisting with emergency mitigation, structural drying, demolition, cleanup, and jobsite documentation.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced restoration environment.


Responsibilities


  • Respond to emergency water-damage and restoration calls.
  • Perform water extraction and removal of affected materials.
  • Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, air filtration devices, and other drying equipment.
  • Perform controlled demolition, including removal of drywall, insulation, flooring, baseboards, cabinetry, and other affected materials.
  • Take and document moisture readings throughout the drying process.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, including photos, moisture logs, equipment records, and daily job notes.
  • Install and maintain containment and jobsite protection as required.
  • Perform HEPA vacuuming, cleaning, antimicrobial applications, and general jobsite cleanup.
  • Load, unload, maintain, and clean restoration equipment and company vehicles.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
  • Follow company procedures and applicable IICRC water-damage restoration standards.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
  • Participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation for emergency losses.


Qualifications

  • Previous water mitigation, restoration, construction, demolition, or related experience preferred.
  • IICRC certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying restoration equipment and materials.
  • Comfortable working in crawlspaces, attics, containment areas, and other restoration environments.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to properly document work.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency response calls.
