We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join a growing consulting engineering firm specializing in the repair and rehabilitation of structures, structural elements, and waterproofing systems.
Our work involves occupied and operational structures, including:
- Condominiums
- Multifamily Apartments
- Commercial Buildings
- Parking Garages
- Building Facades
- Balconies and Plaza Decks
- Roofing and Waterproofing Systems
This is not a traditional design role focused solely on new construction. Our engineers are trusted advisors, investigators, problem-solvers, and project leaders who help clients understand why failures occur and how to implement effective long-term solutions.
What You'll Do:
You'll manage projects from the first site visit through final construction completion, serving as both technical expert and client consultant.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead structural investigations and condition assessments
- Evaluate building envelope and waterproofing systems
- Develop repair recommendations and rehabilitation designs
- Prepare reports, specifications, drawings, and bid documents
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations
- Conduct site visits and field investigations
- Collaborate with contractors, property managers, and ownership groups
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers
- Participate in proposal development and business growth initiatives
- Oversee construction administration and repair implementation
You'll have the opportunity to:

What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required - (Client does have the ability to sponsor candidates with EIT)
- Ability to obtain reciprocity in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with structural rehabilitation, restoration, building envelopes, waterproofing systems, parking structures, facades, or forensic investigations preferred
- Strong communication and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable interacting directly with clients and building relationships
