Restoration Assistant Jobs in Michigan (NOW HIRING)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and dependable Content Restoration Field Technician that is vital to the restoration process after fire, water, and/or environmental disasters. This position involves careful packing, moving, inventorying, cleaning, and restoring personal property and contents from residential and commercial job sites. The ideal candidate will be detailed-oriented, physically capable, professional, and customer-focused. You’re not just moving boxes, you’re handling memories.

What You Will Do:

• Respond to emergency damage situations (water, fire, mold, etc.) in homes or businesses
• Pack out, label, and transport customer contents with care and accuracy
• Perform detailed inventories of property using digital or paper-based systems
• Maintain job site safety and cleanliness
• Communicate professionally with clients and coworkers
• Keep accurate records of work completed, hours, and materials used

What We Are Looking For:

• Prior experience in restoration, moving, warehouse, or logistics preferred
• Physically capable of lifting 75+ lbs, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions (dusty, wet, smoky)
• Strong attention to detail, multitasking and organization
• Valid driver’s license (Chauffeur License preferred)
• Clean driving record
• Clean Criminal Background
• Ability to drive company vehicles to and from designated job sites.
• Ability to work on-call shifts, weekends, or after-hours as needed
• Team player with a professional, customer-focused attitude
• 1+ years of experience as a mover.
• Willingness to learn new systems and tools (tablet, inventory software, restoration equipment, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities:

This is a hands-on, active role that blends physical work, problem-solving, and deep sense of responsibility regarding the following:

- Driving: Be able to drive to and from job sites.

- Packing and Moving: Carefully pack, inventory, transport, and return residential or commercial contents after fire, flood, and/or any environmental disaster. Ability to attach, detach, and reset appliances. Able to assemble, disassemble and wrap furniture/content items with protective materials (i.e.: blankets, foam, etc.), and load efficiently in truck for safe transport.

- On-Site Restoration: Clean and process items using specialized techniques and equipment, sometimes in PPE environments.

- Damage Assessment: Assist with content evaluation and documentation using software and digital photos.

- Teamwork & Communication: Coordinate with project managers, restoration field technicians, and homeowners to ensure professionalism, efficiency, timeliness, and overall quality experience.

- Creative Solutions: Not everything fits in a box – be ready to think outside of it.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday & Weekends When Needed

7:30 am – Route Completion (Day Shift)
