Airport Lounge Cleaner (Appearance Care Associate)

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Job Summary

Appearance Care Associates will perform a full range of cleaning duties and responsibilities in support of the lounge operations at the Sapphire Lounge by The Club located in the Washington Dulles International Airport. They work to ensure lounge specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition, see that lounge and facilities are cleaned and maintained to ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations. Cleaning duties include but are not limited to restrooms, trash removal, and furniture.

  • Guest Experience- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times ensuring highest level of guest experience in an elevated environment.

Primary Job Duties

  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, break rooms
  • Restock beverage stations
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaner and/or shampooers
  • Empties wastebaskets and recyclables and transport to disposal areas
  • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, floors in restrooms
  • Replenish restroom supplies, polish metalwork including fixtures and fittings
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Additional floor work may be required such as scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
  • Washes walls and woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions, and window sills, etc.
  • Notifies supervisor concerning any need for any maintenance repairs or additions observed.
  • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and partitions
  • Must be able to stand during an entire scheduled shift
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the housekeeping/janitorial field
  • Requires ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in keeping with service standards in a best-in-class environment
  • Be able to stand during entire scheduled shift
  • Ability to handle the stress of a face-paced work shift up to ten (10) hours
  • Requires the ability to lift and / or move up to 40 pounds
  • Requires the ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
  • Report on work on a regular and timely basis
  • Adheres to all local and state health department guidelines
  • Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in airport environment
