Summary:
The Server Assistant / Busser plays a vital role in supporting the dining experience by assisting servers, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area, and ensuring guests' needs are met promptly and professionally. This position requires strong teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude to help create a smooth, enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist servers by delivering food and beverages to tables as needed
• Clear and reset tables promptly, including removal of soiled dishes, glassware, silverware, and trash
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, service stations, and back-of-house support areas
• Refill and prepare water, beverages, bread, condiments, and other necessities as appropriate
• Set up tables with clean linens, silverware, and glassware according to standards
• Support opening and closing duties, including preparing service stations and cleaning at end of shift
• Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient service flow
• Provide a warm, friendly, and professional presence to guests, responding to basic requests or directing them to the appropriate team member
• Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities and services to assist guests when needed
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and company policies and procedures
• Demonstrate a professional and positive attitude toward guests and fellow associates
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and walk, sit, or stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight
• Additional tasks may be assigned at any given time
