Job Description
The Project Manager, Design & Construction is a key member of the Construction & Design team at Eataly, taking a lead role in driving and delivering on the Company's North American growth plans. The Project Manager, Design & Construction is responsible for project oversight, internal and external client interactions, on-site management and regular visits to key project locations, timeline and schedule management, specification and procurement of FF&E, coordinating and supervising trades/vendors, materials deliveries, and overall quality control. The PM, Design& Construction works closely with the PM, Design as well as the Director of Construction.
  • Manages all stages of store development projects including but not limited to new builds, renovations and capital improvement projects: project conception, design development, pre-construction, construction and close-out.
  • Responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, consultant and vendor contracts
  • Able to prepare scope documents for internal and external coordination
  • Works closely with our internal design team to ensure project scope and intent is developed and signed off on in alignment with project timelines
  • Where applicable, participates in the selection process of architects/contractors/subcontractors or other third parties, and is responsible for onboarding them
  • Acts as the main point of contact for architects, general contractors, vendors and internal team members
  • Monitors and directs the performance of general contractor and/or subcontractors during construction phase and ensures that typical project management practices and meetings are carried out such as landlord kick offs, OAC calls, milestone walk-throughs, etc.
  • Ensures each project adheres to applicable code/legislation requirements
  • Consolidates, communicates and manages all issues and risks affecting the project; communicates project status to project participants and stakeholders accurately and on time
  • Manages the procurement of owner supplied items
  • Acts as a trade union between different teams at the corporate, store and facilities levels for a successful delivery of each project
  • Ensures ongoing communication with the Finance Team and adheres to department/company policies and procedures as it relates to invoice management and project spending
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree (in Architecture or Construction Project Management preferred)
  • 2+ years general Design & Construction/Store Development experience in the Retail/Restaurant/Hospitality field
  • Previous experience working directly for a multi-unit brand preferred
  • Strong technical and software skills in Microsoft Office & Bluebeam - Competent in Procore preferred
  • Experience being the lead a Design & Construction Project from start to finish
  • Strong leadership skills; able to influence at all levels and across functions
  • Exceptional project management and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate with all levels of collaborators including upper management, landlords and consultants
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical and detail-oriented mindset

Salary Range: $110,000 - $115,000
