· Full Time/Part Time 24-36 Hrs per Week

Job Pay:

· Base Pay: $20.25/hr

· + Tips: Participation in daily tip pool

Job Review:

· Every 6-12 months

Schedule:

  • Shifts: 4-6 Hours/day depending on schedule
  • Must work weekends

Role Overview

The Line Cook is responsible for executing Sobuneh’s menu with consistency, accuracy, and care. This role focuses on cooking, burrito assembly, station organization, and maintaining pace during service. Line cooks work closely with kitchen leads and teammates to keep service flowing smoothly and uphold Sobuneh’s standards.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in execution, works clean and organized, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking, Line Execution & Food Quality

· Cook and assemble menu items with consistency and speed.

· Maintain Sobuneh’s standards for burrito build, grill finish, portioning, and timing.

· Support both the cook station and burrito assembly station as assigned.

· Maintain pace and accuracy during high-volume service.

Burrito Assembly Station

· Follow the KDS and call out orders accurately.

· Build burritos with correct ingredients, modifications, and portions.

· Communicate clearly with the cook station regarding timing and needs.

· Keep mise en place stocked, organized, and clean throughout service.

· Assist with packing and handing off orders when needed.

Cook Station (Grill, Proteins & Expo Flow)

· Cook, season, and hold eggs, proteins, and potatoes to Sobuneh standards.

· Grill and finish burritos to proper char and texture.

· Track timing and modifications on the grill.

· Wrap, label, and package orders accurately — no labeling or packing errors.

· Support expediting by verifying accuracy, labeling, and presentation.

· Keep the hot line stocked and communicate needs proactively.

Cleanliness, Safety & Team Standards

· Maintain a clean, organized station throughout the shift — clean as you go.

· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and labeling procedures.

· Participate fully in opening, closing, and end-of-day cleaning duties.

· Support dishwashing and cleanup as part of the team.

· Communicate clearly, respectfully, and proactively with teammates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
