Job description

Joining King's Hawaiian makes you part of our `ohana (family). We are a family-owned business for over seventy years, respecting our roots while thinking about our future as we continue to grow and care for our customers and the communities we serve. Our `ohana members build an environment of inclusivity as they freely collaborate, pursue learning through curiosity, and explore innovation as critical thinkers. Beyond that, we are also passionate about supporting the long-term health and well-being of our employees and their families. If you're excited to rise with our team, come and join our `ohana!

Hello Hilo, is a new, fast casual restaurant bringing Hawaii-inspired eats & treats to Gainesville, GA. Developed by the Taira family, founders of KING'S HAWAIIAN, Hello Hilo is named for Hilo, HI, where Robert R. Taira opened his first bakery more than 70 years ago. Hello Hilo offers a refreshing island oasis with a unique and delicious menu served with the 'Aloha Spirit'.
We are looking for a creative, energetic doer who loves food, people, and making things happen. As our Local Marketing & Catering Associate, you will be embedded in the Hello Hilo restaurant-part of the team, present in the community, and responsible for growing our catering business and local brand presence.
You will own catering sales from prospecting to delivery, build relationships with local businesses, schools, and organizations. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you'll take the vision and direction given to you and turn it into reality, using critical thinking, initiative, and a high-performing heart and head, ensuring the task at hand is executed on time and on brand. You will also serve as our brand ambassador, welcoming influencers, connecting with the local community, and helping us share our aloha vibes beyond our doors. This role is perfect for someone who's initiative-taking, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, always-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Catering Sales & Growth

Own the catering pipeline end to end-prospecting new accounts, following up on leads, managing orders, and ensuring every catering experience reflects our brand. Develop relationships with local businesses, offices, schools, churches, and event planners to grow catering revenue and frequency.

Marketing Execution

Bring campaigns and promotions to life by executing against clear direction and timelines, ensuring everything launches on time, accurately, and on brand.

Content Creation & Social Media

Create and post engaging content that highlights our irresistible food, people, and aloha vibes, while managing day-to-day social media activity and interacting with our audience.

Website & Digital Updates

Keep all digital platforms current by updating menus, promotions, and key information so guests always have the latest offerings online.

Brand Ambassador & Community Engagement

Serve as a brand ambassador by representing Hello Hilo in the community, supporting local events, welcoming influencers, and helping build relationships that drive awareness of our brand and our offerings.

Marketing Materials & In-Store Presence

Support the in-store experience by creating and updating signage and promotional materials that align with current campaigns and offerings.

Menu & Promotion Coordination

Stay connected with the restaurant team to ensure menu updates, specials, and promotions are accurately reflected across all channels.

Team Support & Execution

Collaborate with the operations team and step in during busy periods, events, and holidays to help ensure smooth and successful execution across the board.

Qualifications:

  • Sales or business development experience, ideally in food, hospitality, or a service-oriented field

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills - you are energized by meeting people and following up

  • Comfort working in a restaurant environment and willingness to step into operational support as needed

  • Understanding of social media management and content creation.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead creative projects.

  • An understanding of current trends in marketing, food, and digital content creation.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling content for various platforms.

  • Strong photography and video production skills are a plus.
