Description:

Cragun's Resort on illustrious Gull Lake is seeking a motivated and guest experience-oriented Resort Assistant Manager. This is a perfect position for someone who is seeking Leadership Development and Career Growth Opportunities in a beautiful and growing hospitality setting!


Position Overview:

This position works closely with guest-facing departments and department leaders; developing leadership, operational judgement, and strategic decision-making through daily guest interaction and real-time operational oversight. The RAM regularly serves as Manager on Duty (MOD), leading evening operations and facilitating collaboration across teams.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead evening resort operations through walkthrough, mentoring department leaders, and resolving operational issues
  • Coach and support team leaders to ensure smooth operations and strong guest service
  • Anticipate and resolve guest concerns, modeling professional service recovery
  • Facilitate the daily 330pm operation meetings
  • Serve as primary decision-maker during incidents or emergencies
  • Promote a positive and collaborative culture through various employee engagement activities
  • Support Security & Transportation team to ensure proper staffing for operations and events
  • Support training and emergency preparedness initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and maximize revenue
  • Respond to and document guest and employee incidents accurately
  • All other related duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of hospitality or resort experience (supervisory preferred)
  • Strong desire for career growth into hospitality leadership roles
  • Proven leadership and communication skills
  • Guest-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
