Help Shape the Future of a Privately Owned Practice Interested in leadership, but not looking for corporate politics?

Looking for the opportunity to influence medical standards, mentor a team, and help shape the future of a hospital while still spending most of your time practicing medicine?

This may be the role you've been looking for.

At Noah's Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort, we're seeking a veterinarian who wants a seat at the table. Someone who enjoys collaboration, values high-quality medicine, and wants the opportunity to help guide the direction of a growing privately owned practice.

Depending on your interests and experience, this position may evolve into a Responsible Veterinarian or Medical Director role.

About Us

Noah's Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort is a privately owned small-animal practice located in Millersville, Maryland, between Baltimore, Annapolis, and Washington, D.C.

We believe great hospitals are built through partnership between veterinarians, credentialed technicians, support staff, and management. Our goal is to create an environment where excellent medicine, strong culture, and sustainable work-life balance can coexist.

What This Role Looks Like

This position combines clinical practice with opportunities for leadership and influence.

Areas of involvement may include:

  • Helping shape medical standards and protocols
  • Mentoring and supporting veterinary team members
  • Evaluating new equipment, services, and medical initiatives
  • Collaborating with management on hospital growth and development
  • Supporting a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Serving as a clinical resource for the team

The exact scope of the role will depend on your interests, strengths, and career goals.

What You'll Find Here
  • Flexible scheduling
  • No nights
  • Closed for major holidays
  • Credentialed technicians and experienced support staff
  • Modern equipment including a Sonoscape ProPet P60 ultrasound, CO₂ laser, cold therapy laser, digital radiography, and LigaSure—with opportunities to help shape future equipment, service, and medical program development.
  • A management team that welcomes collaboration and respects medical expertise
  • The opportunity to meaningfully influence the future of the practice
What We're Looking For
  • DVM or equivalent degree
  • Maryland veterinary license (or eligibility)
  • DEA license
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Interest in mentorship, collaboration, and hospital development
  • Leadership experience is welcomed but not required

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who enjoys building something alongside a team and takes pride in helping a practice grow.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive compensation and leadership packages available based on experience, schedule, and responsibilities.

Benefits may include:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • SIMPLE IRA with employer match
  • CE allowance
  • Professional development support
  • Employee pet care discounts
  • Relocation assistance
Let's Talk

You don't need to know exactly what title you're looking for.

If you're interested in practicing great medicine, having a voice in the future of a privately owned hospital, and working alongside a collaborative team, we'd love to start a conversation.
