Job description

Job Title

Responsible for the safety and security of Universal Kids Resort's (UKR) Guests, Team Members, company assets and property. Performs active surveillance of the resort through roaming assigned areas, monitoring security cameras, and managing access points. Communicates via radios with other areas of the operations, swiftly responding to any reported situations and accurately reporting incidents via witness statements. Ensures resort-wide security measures are as follows, including the parking lot, theme park, back-of-house, and hotel.

Job Responsibilities
  • Ensures the safety and security of all Guests and Team Members within the resort, including parking area, theme park, back of house, and hotel, by performing a variety of roles such as walking patrols, motorized patrols, and occupying various access control points. Utilizes radio telecommunication to report potentially unsafe, suspicious, or threatening conditions.
  • Responds to reported incidents, assesses the scene, and analyzes the situation using sound judgement all while collecting necessary information to construct a written witness statement. Assists and directs Guests and Team Members during safety concerns and emergency response situations.
  • Routinely monitors resort to ensure safety of all Team Members within UKR. Reports and responds to any behavior that violates company policy in a timely manner. Assists Lead/Sergeants and Supervisors with accurately representing witness statements documented throughout the operation and resort of "daily incident reports" for Guest situations/incidents.
  • Identifies prohibited items through routine screening of bags, packages, and deliveries and prevent said items from entering the property. Conducts routine visual inspections of resort, facility areas, back-of-house areas, and safes to protect company assets during and after business hours.
  • Provides dispatch coverage for all Universal Kids Resort departments and assists with triage depending on the request. Escalates to Security leadership as necessary to dispatch the appropriate units to include outside emergency response agencies and third-party vendors.
  • Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to work a flexible and varying schedule based on business needs.

Qualifications

  • Ability to administer CPR and/or First Aid with proper operation of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
  • Basic computer proficiency and strong communications skills.

  • Consistent attendance is a job requirement.
Certifications & Licenses
  • Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory/legal licenses and certifications as a condition of employment.
  • Texas Driver's License is required.
  • Level 2 (Non-Commissioned) Security License is required.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience
  • 1+ years of relevant security or military experience is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A background check is mandatory, and results must meet Universal Destinations and Experience's background check criteria.
