Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property at a casino facility.

Hiring for Full Time 12:00 am - 8:00 am The shift will include weekends and holidays.

Shift differential $2.00/hour extra for midnight - 8:00 a.m. We also offer a generous benefit package with Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, Employee Discounts, Paid Time Off, Vacation, and 401k - with a company match.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Respond to radio calls assertively and timely.
Be ready at all times to respond or assist with any emergency situation, also be aware of other officers as much as possible.
Know the location of all emergency equipment in the casino and hotel areas.
Will oversee the following duties: hard and soft drops and counts; table fills, money transfers, floor cashiers checking in/out.
Must attend all meetings, trainings and certifications require by upper management, the Gaming Commission or the Director of Security.
Warn persons of rule infractions or violations, and apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force when necessary.
Circulate among visitors, patrons or employees to preserve order and protect property.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to protect against theft and maintain security of premises.
After dark or upon request, escort guests and employees to their vehicles. Stay in view until the vehicle is off casino premises.
Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities as requested, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
Follow Casino and department policies and procedures, including all safety and service procedures; adhere to the Prairie's Edge Chain of Command.
Support the Vision and Mission Statement's of Prairie's Edge Casino Resort.
Any other duties as assigned.
