Overview

Lovango Resort & Beach Club is located on a beautiful private island in the USVI and is the latest property for Little Gem Resorts. The resort is looking to hire candidates who are interested in hospitality and have a passion for working with people. Our resort concept is built on providing high-level experiences to our guests. Our resort provides not only a stunning landscape, but a warm welcoming atmosphere. Our service is genuine, welcoming and we are here to make our guest's experience memorable.

Responsibilities

Responsible for greeting and assisting all resort guests which includes, but is not limited to luggage assistance, delivery assistance, responses to guest inquiries, and assisting the Front Desk or Concierge when needed. Implement and maintain a service and philosophy which serves as a guide to respective staff and ensure a positive experience for our guests.

  • Be courteous with a warm smile & demeanor while meeting and greeting all guests arriving and departing the resort. Be responsible when handling guest luggage.
  • Ensure guest safety while on duty and transporting the guest to their accommodation, boat or departing vessel.
  • Develop loyal relationships with repeat and new guests.
  • Be familiar with all hotel services/facilities and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately and give directions if needed.
  • Assist operation of Captains.
  • Proficient knowledge of all island operations and systems.
  • Promotes a professional, helpful, and courteous work environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of boat, carts, and dock area at all times, following shift checklists daily.
  • Opening and closing procedures are followed each shift.
  • Assist with transporting housekeepers throughout the property as needed.
  • Additional duties as assigned by GM, FOM, or FDS.
  • TWIC card required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License with clean record.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess a professional, respectful, and responsible demeanor.
  • Ability to converse with guests and coworkers in fluid English.
  • Ability to commute to/from dock locations on ST. Thomas and St. John.
  • Must be able to navigate different terrane/waters in various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Successful applicants will pass pre-employment background check and successfully complete required I-9 document.

Please note our season is from early December through the end of July. All employees must be available for the full season.
