We are looking for an energetic person, with an upbeat attitude to maintain our health facility, performing Janitorial, Water Quality, and minor maintenance and cross training for various positions. About the position: The Clinic Support Worker will provide janitorial duties on regular basis as required within the health facility; provide minor maintenance as assigned by immediate supervisor; cross train for Community Health Representative, Cultural Support Worker, Home Health Aide, Medical Transportation Clerk, Parent Support Worker and Dental Aide; This position is required to order supplies, do inventory control, and to work with the supervisor to maintain the clinic/facility in an appropriate and cost-effective manner.

Duties:

  • Sweep/mop/dust floors and damp mop the main entrance or other soiled floor areas as necessary;
  • Ensure that garbage/debris is removed from clinic/facility and surrounding grounds and transferred to an appropriate refuse container outside the clinic/facility;
  • Cross-train for Community Health Representative, Community Cultural Support Worker, Home Health Aide, Medical Transportation Clerk, Parent Support Worker and Dental Aide;

Qualifications:

  • Minimum grade 10 education;
  • WHIMS and First Aid/CPR (or willing to obtain)
  • Willing to learn new skills and work within the health care team;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to speak/understand Cree and knowledge of the Cree culture is as asset;
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening;
  • Class 5 Driver's license preferred, but not required;
