Job description

Crimson Design Group is an award-winning design firm based in Columbus, Ohio. With expertise spanning residential, commercial, and multi-family/senior living domains, we bring visions to life with precision and flair. We are currently looking for an intern for fall, as well as spring and summer. This is a 12-week, part-time to full-time position to give you a chance to learn with the best!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the design team as you learn the entire interior design business.
  • Assist on installs.
  • Split work time between Design, Procurement, and Back Office Operations.
  • Support the front of the house in client support- ensure conference rooms are stocked and ready for client meetings.
  • Run errands as needed.
  • Answer phones, greet studio guests
  • Organize design tools and accessories.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Mac utilization experience is a plus.
  • Graphic Design experience preferred. (ie. SketchUp, Photoshop)
  • Excellent verbal & written abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred
  • Working towards, or already obtained, higher education degree in related field of study.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-time position (~20hours) per week.
    • Tuesday - Thursday 10 am - 4 pm -Flexible schedule available
    • Other hours as needed for special events or installs
  • Position begins on or after September 8, 2026
  • Located in Columbus, OH
  • Must feel comfortable working interactively with teammates and industry partners in a variety of settings.
  • Compensation: $15 per hour.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to drive to run errands (active driver's license and transportation).
  • Must be able to handle loads up to 10lbs., sometimes up to 20lbs.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Work in this position requires being inside most of the time, in an office setting.
  • Must be able to work at off-site locations.
