What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a residential inspector?

To thrive as a Residential Inspector, you need a solid understanding of building codes, construction practices, and safety regulations, often supported by relevant certifications or licensure. Familiarity with inspection reporting software, digital cameras, and measurement tools is typically required. Strong attention to detail, effective communication, and problem-solving skills help inspectors excel when evaluating properties and interacting with clients.
