La personne titulaire du poste assume la responsabilite d'un ensemble de soins infirmiers en fonction des besoins bio-psycho-sociaux des usagers ou des groupes de personnes qui lui sont confies. Elle evalue l'etat de sante des usagers, met en uvre le plan therapeutique infirmier et prodigue des soins visant a maintenir ou a retablir la sante ainsi qu'a prevenir la maladie. Elle participe egalement a l'enseignement aupres des usagers et de leurs proches ainsi qu'a des activites de recherche en promotion de la sante et prevention des maladies.

Principales responsabilites:

  • Evaluer l'etat de sante des usagers et etablir le plan therapeutique infirmier;
  • Assurer la mise en uvre des plans de soins et des traitements infirmiers;
  • Initier et prodiguer les soins et traitements infirmiers et medicaux requis;
  • Prescrire, conformement a la reglementation en vigueur, des analyses de laboratoire, traitements, produits, medicaments et pansements dans les domaines autorises;
  • Planifier, dispenser et evaluer l'enseignement destine aux usagers, a leurs proches et a differents groupes;
  • Participer a des activites de recherche favorisant la promotion de la sante et la prevention des maladies;
  • Collaborer avec l'equipe interdisciplinaire afin d'assurer des soins securitaires et de qualite.

Qualifications requises:

  • Diplome d'etudes collegiales (DEC) en soins infirmiers ou baccalaureat en sciences infirmieres;
  • Minimum d'une (1) annee d'experience en soins aigus;
  • Experience en pediatrie consideree comme un atout important;
  • Connaissance des normes nationales ASPAN, un atout;
  • Autonomie, dynamisme et excellent esprit d'equipe;
  • Membre en regle de l'Ordre des infirmieres et infirmiers du Quebec (OIIQ);
  • Bilinguisme (francais et anglais).

Status: Temporary Full-Time Replacement

Job Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care based on the bio-psycho-social needs of assigned patients or groups. They assess patient health status, implement nursing therapeutic plans, and provide care aimed at maintaining health, restoring wellness, and preventing illness. The role also includes patient and family education as well as participation in health promotion and disease prevention research activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' health status and establish nursing therapeutic plans;
  • Implement care plans and nursing treatments;
  • Initiate and provide required nursing and medical care and treatments;
  • Prescribe laboratory tests, treatments, products, medications, and dressings in authorized practice areas and in accordance with regulations;
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate educational activities for patients, families, and groups;
  • Participate in research activities related to health promotion and disease prevention;
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Collegial Diploma (DEC) in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN);
  • Minimum of one (1) year of acute care experience;
  • Pediatric experience is considered a significant asset;
  • Knowledge of ASPAN national standards is an asset;
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, and a strong team player;
  • Current license and membership in good standing with the OIIQ;
  • Bilingual in French and English.
