Job description

Mid-level Paralegal (Paralegal II) to provide broad legal support across multiple practice areas, including employment, corporate governance, commercial contracts, litigation support, and compliance. Working under the general supervision of attorneys, this role suits a paralegal who has developed core legal skills and is ready to take on greater responsibility and work with increasing independence on assigned matters. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid transaction and project management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, business units, and internal teams.

What you will do:

Legal Document Preparation

  • Support attorneys and, with general supervision, manage many phases of legal matters and transactions across a range of practice areas, including employment, corporate, commercial contracts, and compliance matters.
  • Draft, review, and revise transactional and legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, letters, forms, and templates, with limited attorney oversight on routine matters.

General Legal Matters

  • Conduct due diligence tasks with general supervision, including gathering, organizing, reviewing, and analyzing documents and records.
  • Address routine legal issues that arise across Mister locations, including document updates, notice requirements, and correspondence, escalating more complex questions to attorneys as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain licensing status across stores, monitor deadlines, circulate deliverables, and provide status updates on various licenses and registrations.

Records Management

  • Draft and maintain critical date abstracts and calendars for contracts and agreements, and assist with amendments and renewals.
  • Organize, maintain, and archive legal files and records.
  • Prepare summaries, binders, and post-matter documentation for internal teams.

Administrative & Research Support

  • Perform research related to corporate records, contracts, regulatory requirements, and general legal questions, providing recommendations as requested.
  • Support legal, compliance, and business teams by gathering information and preparing research summaries.

How you will shine:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate.
  • 2–4 years of legal or paralegal experience across one or more practice areas.
  • Solid understanding of legal documentation and legal processes, with growing subject-matter depth.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and document management systems.
  • Strong research, drafting, and organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and prioritize under general supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a growth mindset.

Note: The job duties above provide a general sense of the role; though, additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
