Position Overview

Sr Project Manager at LJA Surveying (Florida Survey Department). Responsible for daily management of multiple survey technicians and support staff, supervising business and project operations, budgeting, client relations, business development, staff manpower and project projections.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise business and project operations in the Florida Survey department, including budget, client relations, and business development.
  • Directly supervise daily activities of the Florida Survey department, including project time and cost estimates.
  • Oversee manpower and project projections.
  • Establish annual business plan with the President and Vice President.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to determine timeframes, budgets, staffing, and project schedule.
  • Plan and set project objectives.
  • Analyze team and group financial performance, initiate corrective actions.
  • Report results to management.
  • Provide guidance to team members and communicate with other survey staff.
  • Assist with developing project proposals as needed.
  • Respond to project inquiries and serve as liaison between client and project team members.
  • Research project information.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and related software packages.
Required Education/License/Certification
  • Professional Licensed Surveyor.
Required Qualifications
  • 15 years’ experience in the industry.
  • 10 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Public Works and Commercial experience is a plus.
