What we need:

They work effectively independently while collaborating closely with customers, sales teams, engineers, manufacturers, and field partners. They bring an ownership mindset, strong follow-through, and a desire to continually deepen their technical expertise while improving processes and customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities Technical & Sales Support
  • Provide technical and application support to Sales Engineers, including estimating, project scoping, product selection, and engineered solutions.
  • Review construction drawings and specifications and develop technical packages, submittals, shop drawings, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and engineering partners regarding technical requirements, availability, lead times, and product applications.
Project Management & Execution
  • Manage projects from award through completion, coordinating procurement, production releases, material delivery, change orders, installation, and closeout.
  • Coordinate internal teams, customers, manufacturers, and external labor partners to maintain schedules and project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits, field measurements, equipment commissioning, and start-ups as needed.
  • Ensure projects are completed accurately, invoiced promptly, and properly documented.
Quality, Safety & Customer Experience
  • Ensure installations and project deliverables meet K&W quality and safety standards.
  • Build strong customer relationships through responsive communication, technical expertise, and reliable follow-through.
  • Identify and resolve technical or project challenges while proactively communicating risks and solutions.
Product & Process Development
  • Maintain technical documentation, training resources, and manufacturer information for engineered equipment.
  • Support the evaluation and onboarding of new products and manufacturer partners through research, training, factory visits, and technical review.
  • Identify opportunities to improve products, processes, and customer solutions based on project experience and feedback.
Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical contracting, engineering, HVAC, vibration isolation, or mechanical equipment systems preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems, vibration control, seismic applications, building codes, and relevant industry standards.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu or Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office; experience with construction/project management software preferred.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, or SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Travel Requirements
  • Travel is on an as-needed basis and may include project sites, K&W offices, and occasional overnight travel.
  • Manufacturer factory visits may be required for training, inspections, or new product introductions.
