Job description

Research & Insights Analyst

Permanent, Full-Time | Hybrid | $70,000–$80,000 + 7.5% Incentive

Our client is seeking a Research & Insights Analyst to join their Research team in a newly created, permanent full-time position. This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and curious professional who enjoys turning data and research into meaningful insights that help inform business decisions, organizational priorities, and stakeholder needs.

Reporting to the Manager of Research, the Research & Insights Analyst will support a range of quantitative and qualitative research initiatives, analyze industry and organizational data, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations and resources for leadership and key stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the planning and design of research initiatives by helping define research questions, scope, timelines, stakeholder needs, and intended outcomes.
  • Design, coordinate, and support quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys, interviews, consultations, benchmarking, secondary research, literature reviews, and data validation.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to industry trends, stakeholder needs, organizational performance, and external developments.
  • Identify meaningful patterns, risks, opportunities, and emerging needs and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Develop clear and compelling reports, briefing materials, dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder-facing resources.
  • Coordinate research projects, including workplans, timelines, milestones, documentation, quality checks, and progress reporting.
  • Respond to ad hoc research and analysis requests from leadership and internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve research processes, tools, data sources, dashboards, reporting approaches, and insight products.

What We’re Looking For

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, Data Analytics, or another research/analytics-related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Approximately 3–5+ years of experience in research, data analysis, market research, business intelligence, program evaluation, or a related analytical function.
  • Experience supporting surveys, interviews, focus groups, benchmarking studies, environmental scans, literature reviews, or member/customer research.
  • Strong analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate information, identify key themes, and translate complex findings into clear, plain-language insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines, and research deliverables.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams, with working knowledge of data analysis, cleaning, validation, and research documentation practices.

Nice to Have

  • Postgraduate certificate or specialized training in research analysis, market research, data analytics, statistics, or business intelligence.
  • Experience with survey and research platforms such as Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting dashboards, data visualization, or reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working within a professional or industry association, not-for-profit, or other member-based organization.
  • Bilingual English/French capability.

Compensation & Work Model

This is a new, permanent full-time position offering:

  • Salary: $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience
  • Incentive: 7.5%
  • Vacation: 3 weeks
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, regular business hours, 37.5 hours per week
  • Hybrid work model: Three days per week in office, including Monday and Wednesday as core days, plus one additional permanent in-office day mutually agreed upon with the manager
