Position Announcement
The Business Impact Lab at Utah Valley University advances research, collaboration, and practical insight to support the development of organizational environments where individuals can grow, lead, and succeed. The Research Assistant supports the Lab through communication and outreach, social media and website updates, event coordination, research assistance, preparation of accessible research-based materials, project documentation, administrative support, and special projects aligned with the Lab's mission and goals.
Summary of Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and support Business Impact Lab activities, workshops, speaker sessions, and events, including promotion, speaker support, follow-up with internal partners, and post-event documentation.
  • Translate research findings into accessible formats, including articles, briefs, reports, presentations, infographics, marketing materials, and other communication content for industry partners, students, faculty, and community audiences.
  • Assist in the design, data collection, analysis, writing, and reporting of research studies.
  • Manage and update Business Impact Lab social media channels, LinkedIn content, website updates, and promotional materials.
  • Conduct literature reviews, synthesize findings, prepare short research summaries, and maintain organized research/project documentation.
  • Provide administrative, documentation, tracking, and special project support aligned with the Lab's mission and goals.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Two years of related experience in research support, communications, event support, social media/content management, administrative/project support, or a related area.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience supporting academic research, preparing research-based communication materials, coordinating events or workshops, managing social media or website content, or working with faculty, staff, students, industry partners, or community partners.
  • Master's degree.
