The Role
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Posses extensive knowledge of single mode fiber optic cable systems, including cable types, connectors, termination methods, and best practices for installation and maintenance. Hands-on experience installing, testing, and verifying single mode fiber optic systems using established shipyard methods and standards. An existing, effective working relationship with shipyard crafts performing fiber optic work is essential. In addition, strong background in the design and testing of new electrical and electronic equipment, as well as experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and testing of motor controllers.
Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 14 years of experience

Master of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 12 years of experience

PHD in Engineering from an ABET accredited university and 10 year of experience
Nice to Have
A hands on expert in single mode fiber optic connectors and cables, with deep practical experience in installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting of single mode fiber optic systems. Have a strong background in Research and Development (R&D), including designing, evaluating, and integrating new electrical and electronic systems. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate solid experience in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) of motor controllers and power systems, with the ability to support development, testing, and validation activities.
