Job Description:
Broadcom's ASIC Product Division (APD) is focused on enabling customers to develop products with a sustainable and substantial competitive advantage. APD does this by delivering best-in-class technology platforms, easy to integrate bleeding edge intellectual property, and by providing world-class customer support. APD's customers span a wide range of industries developing ASICs for the largest and most complex cloud computing AI engines, supercomputers, and networking, through to low power and the most advanced wireless solutions as examples.
The PHY Lab Technician will support the development of state-of-the-art die-to-die PHY IP which are used broadly in APD's custom silicon ASIC products. Candidates will use their expertise to enable successful first silicon turn-on, device debug, RMA activities and characterization of intellectual property. The successful candidate will contribute as a member of the characterization team and will be located in Fort Collins, CO.
Typical Duties Include:
  • Receive and ship packages
  • Track and manage lab inventory
  • Ensure test equipment is operating optimally
  • Change out test set ups
  • Swap equipment that needs repair
  • Swap devices under test
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe labs
  • Procurement of lab supplies and materials

Job Requirements:
  • Associate's degree and 4+ years experience or extensive relevant hands-on experience
  • Able to set up and change hardware on test benches
  • Track and maintain lab equipment
  • Preventive maintenance of lab equipment
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and repair or replace
  • Ship and receive equipment and parts
  • Track and manage lab inventory
  • Vendor deliverables management
  • Maintain lab cleanliness and safety
  • Perform quarterly lab inspections
  • Good organizational skills
  • Software experience with spreadsheets or other inventory management software
  • Calibrate equipment and manage third party calibration planning, schedule and budget

Desired:
  • Support test board readiness
  • Experience with thermal forcing equipment
  • Experience with Linux and Window systems maintenance and administration
  • Support characterization of IP
  • Good understanding of board design, PCB layout and board failure analysis

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $25.34 - $35.48 per hour.
