The Role

Responsibilities include supporting pilot line builds for formulated products, executing formulated products build plans, generating test data, assisting maintaining lab and pilot line equipment including 4-point probe, ellipsometer, FTIR, back up SEM/FIB and XRR operator, general lab assistance where needed.

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assists in the design, development and commercialization of new post etch, post ash and post CMP cleaners and removers for advanced IC technologies.
  • Assists in mixing, filtering, and documentation of new speciality cleaners and etchants for semiconductors.
  • Assists with testing new cleaner formulations for shelf life and stability.
  • Back up SEM/FIB and XRR operator
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Wet Lab Supervisor
  • Specific activities include:
    • Investigate and develop new chemical formulations for cleaning integrated circuit wafers with awareness of the status of intellectual property field
    • Operating wet lab characterization tools
    • Coordinates with formulated products staff on chemistry and hardware supply needs
    • Chemical and wafer inventory tracking

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or material science
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in a production lab environment
  • Experience in operating SEM/FIB equipment or desire to learn.
  • Person should be comfortable with dealing with and handling chemicals.
  • Experience in pilot line scale chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Excellent communication, data collection, time management and organizational skills required.
  • Understand design of experiments and be proficient in technical writing.
  • Excellence in understanding and following instructions.
  • Must have excellent computer skills (Power-Point, Excel and statistical software tools).
  • Working knowledge of JMP statistical software is desirable.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position that requires candidates to successfully pass a post-offer drug screening prior to employment. One of the essential job functions is the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
