About the Role

We are seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician to support testing and quality analysis that advances our research, development, and manufacturing operations. This role performs analytical testing, documents laboratory data, maintains laboratory equipment, and helps ensure our products meet quality and regulatory standards.

What You'll Do
As an Analytical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting laboratory operations while ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, and safe laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare process and finished product samples for analysis.
  • Perform analytical testing using laboratory instrumentation and wet chemistry techniques.
  • Conduct routine process monitoring and quality testing.
  • Record, analyze, and report laboratory data using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and testing records.
  • Perform routine calibration and light maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Compare instrument performance against standards to ensure accurate operation.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and notify supervision when supplies require replenishment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready laboratory.
  • Perform housekeeping inspections and complete required audit documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
  • Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and research teams.
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, SOPs, OSHA, EPA, GMP, and company safety requirements.
  • Identify and report quality concerns, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions.
  • Complete required training and follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Danimer Scientific objectives.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
  • Experience operating common laboratory equipment such as pH meters, balances, and spectrophotometers.
  • Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and computerized laboratory systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of analytical laboratory experience.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, biotechnology, chemical, or polymer operations.
  • Familiarity with cGMP laboratory environments.

Physical & Work Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Frequent use of hands for laboratory testing, sample preparation, and computer work.
  • Ability to distinguish laboratory alarms and other audible notifications.
  • Clear near vision for laboratory instrumentation, sample preparation, and computer work.
  • Exposure to laboratory chemicals, biological materials, manufacturing environments, moving equipment, airborne particles, and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to maintain safe laboratory practices while handling chemicals and laboratory equipment.
