The Department of Natural Sciences at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a twelve month, full-time, grant funded faculty position. Continuation of the position is subject to availability of funds. The start date for the position is January 2026.

Responsibilities:
Work to develop a program in ecological numerical modeling.
Conduct the ADCP, Wave and Water Quality observations in the Maryland Coastal Bays.

Co-supervise graduate students and undergraduate students.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Oceanography or Marine Sciences. ABD will be considered with an expected completion
before appointment date.
Experience in oceanography observational skill.
Experience in ecological/water quality numerical modeling experiences.
Physical Demands:
May require extended periods of standing, bending, stooping, sitting at desk.
May require lifting up to 25 lbs.
Requires communication with a variety of constituents externally and internally.
Requires operation of a variety of office equipment.
Preferences:
Experience in running numerical ocean model (FVCOM, CE QUAL-ICM).
