Circle of Care for Families and Children of Passaic County, Inc. of Woodland Park, NJ is seeking to onboard a Community Relations & Development Intern (Fall Unpaid Internship) who is:

We are an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting Passaic County multiple-needs children and their families. As a Care Management Organization (CMO), we partner with families to design, implement, and manage individual service plans (ISPs) using both informal and community support for children with complex needs including behavioral, emotional, and developmental disabilities.

Summary of Position:
The role of the Community Relations & Development Intern is to gain experience supporting outreach initiatives, strengthening community partnerships, and increasing awareness of services available to youth and families. This is a temporary, unpaid summer internship intended to provide hands-on learning and professional development.

The Intern will work closely with the Community Relations & Development team to assist with outreach efforts, community engagement activities, and communication strategies that promote access to services and resources.

Essential Functions of the Position (including but not limited to):
• Maintain high integrity while modeling the core values of Circle of Care
• Assist with planning and coordination of community outreach events, workshops, and partnership activities
• Support tabling events, presentations, and public awareness efforts
• Help maintain outreach materials, contact lists, and community resource information
• Assist with creating social media content, newsletters, flyers, and promotional materials
• Conduct basic research on community partners, resources, and engagement opportunities
• Support data entry, attendance tracking, and reporting on outreach efforts
• Help prepare materials for meetings, trainings, and special initiatives
• Provide general administrative support to the department as needed
• Comply with all Agency standards, including accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness of all work
• Attend team meetings and trainings as assigned

Education and Experience:
Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree Program, or recent graduate, in a relevant discipline (e.g., communications, marketing, social work, psychology, public health, nonprofit management, human services, or related field)
